Filipinos are still looking for concrete proof Congress is changing – Dy

MANILA, Philippines — House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III understands that the people are still looking for concrete proof of changes in the chamber, despite the lawmakers’ passage of several priority and meaningful measures.

In his speech on Wednesday before the House adjourned sine die — ending the first regular session of the 20th Congress — Dy appealed for understanding, noting that the chamber has been trying to improve its work.

“The job of the House of Representatives is to continue doing committee hearings, consultations, technical working groups, deliberations, and that is the same for our districts,” he said.
