The government is providing incentives to developers to build houses that will be intended exclusively for rental in the “I Build – I Rent” program, aiming to increase the supply of houses.
The rental agreements will be mandatory for a minimum duration of 10 years, while the amount of the rent will be determined by a joint decision of the ministers of Social Cohesion and Family, Finance and another minister, as the case may be.
The income that businesses will obtain from the rental of real estate will be exempt from income tax. However, the market sees some gray areas in the bill.
