ANANTAPURAdding a new dimension of technology to public grievance redressal and aiming for transparent digital governance, Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh on Wednesday (June 3, 2026) introduced an Artificial Intelligence-based voice complaint registration system, “AI Prajavani”, designed to help citizens submit complaints more easily and quickly. The system was launched officially by the SP along with trainee IPS officer Ashwin Manideep.Explaining the special features and functioning of “AI Prajavani”, the SP said that if a complainant visits the SP office and verbally explains their grievance, the system automatically converts their voice into a written complaint. “The spoken complaint is processed by the computer system and converted into a properly formatted petition, with a printed copy provided immediately to the complainant,” he said.At the same time, the petition is placed before the SP for prompt resolution. “This system is highly beneficial for people who cannot write complaints on their own and those who depend on others to draft applications. They no longer need to approach petition writers, saving both time and financial expenses,” the SP said. The system has been introduced at the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) conducted every Monday at the District Police Office. The SP said it would be expanded to all police stations in the district.Mr. Jagadeesh said this innovative system was developed by young innovators and students from the startup INCUXAI. Students played a key role in designing the software using advanced AI technology and speech-processing tools.Developed by youth from the Anantapur region with a focus on local talent and indigenous technology, the project is expected to become a model for the use of Artificial Intelligence in government services. It is being regarded as an important step towards making technology-driven public grievance resolution more efficient. The SP added that the Andhra Pradesh Police Department has always been at the forefront of integrating technology into public service, and expressed confidence that “AI Prajavani” would reduce the gap between citizens and the police. “The initiative was introduced to enhance transparency in complaint registration and make police services more accessible to the common public,” he said.He added that the initiative marked the beginning of the use of Artificial Intelligence in public services and would serve as a new milestone in technology-driven citizen services within the district police department.
