Image: Jari Kovalainen / YleYle News14:18A two-day ministerial meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) began in Paris on Wednesday.Finland is chairing the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting for the first time since 1984.Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (NCP) is the keynote speaker at the meeting's opening ceremony.According to the Finnish government, the meeting will focus on developing policies that support industrial renewal, maintain open markets, stimulate sustainable economic growth and promote social wellbeing.During his visit to Paris, Orpo will also meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.In addition to Orpo, Finland is being represented at the OECD meeting by Minister of Finance Riikka Purra (Finns Party), Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen (NCP), Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio (Finns Party), and Minister of Economic Affairs Sakari Puisto (Finns Party).The vice chairs of the meeting are New Zealand and South Korea.
