On the night of 2-3 June, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) experienced its 17th blackout since being occupied by Russian forces and the fifth since the beginning of 2026.

Details: Energoatom reported that at 23:44 on 2 June, the plant completely lost external power supply after the Ferosplavna-1 power transmission line was disconnected.
Critical systems continued to operate using backup diesel generators.
