The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) experienced another blackout today — the twentieth since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's Ministry of Energy reported this on Facebook.
The ministry stated that due to Russian military actions, the plant lost power supply from the Ferrosplavna-1 330 kV transmission line.
Following the incident, emergency diesel generators automatically started to provide backup electricity for reactor core cooling and to maintain other critical nuclear safety functions at the facility.
