Training for enumerators and supervisors, who will conduct household visits for data collection in connection with Census 2027, will begin in the district on Thursday. According to the District Collector and Principal Census Officer Chetan Kumar Meena, the training will will be conducted by field trainers who have already undergone training, and the session will continue till June 23. The district has deployed 16 technical assistants, 66 field trainers, 595 supervisors and 3,466 enumerators for Census operations.Self-enumeration, which marks the first phase of the census, is scheduled to begin on June 16. Self-enumeration is a process through which families can directly submit their census information online. The facility will be available from June 16 to June 30 through the portal https://se.census.gov.in/.The online form contains 34 questions and can be completed in English and 15 Indian languages. Upon successful completion of self-enumeration, a confirmation message will be sent by email along with an 11-digit self-enumeration ID. Participation in self-enumeration is not mandatory. Even households that complete self-enumeration will be visited by enumerators. During the visit, residents must provide the self-enumeration ID received via email. The enumerator will verify the submitted information, add any additional details if required and upload the data.The head of a household or any responsible adult member can fill in the details for all the normally residing members of their household using the single household access. If the process is interrupted, users can save their progress and complete the form later within the prescribed period.
