New Delhi: Mother Dairy, one of the leading milk suppliers in the country, is expecting a 20 per cent growth in its turnover this fiscal to over 24,000 crore on rising consumer demand and plans to enter new markets.Mother Dairy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), posted a turnover of Rs 20,300 crore during 2025-26, a 17 per cent increase from the preceding financial year.The company sells milk and milk products under the 'Mother Dairy' brand and supplies 55 lakh litres of fresh milk per day, including 35 lakh litres in Delhi-NCR.It markets edible oils under the 'Dhara' brand. Fresh fruits & vegetables, frozen vegetables, snacks, pulps and concentrates are sold under the 'Safal' brand."We want to shed this perception that Mother Dairy is Delhi-NCR centric. We have a presence in many states, including Maharashtra and Bihar. We are exploring to enter new markets where we don't have a presence currently," Mother Dairy Chairman Meenesh Shah told PTI on the sidelines of a press conference.He said the company is setting up its own dairy plant in Maharashtra and has also taken a plant on lease in Hyderabad. The company is establishing a second plant in Bihar.When asked about the outlook for the current financial year, Mother Dairy MD Jayateertha Chary said the company has set a 20 per cent revenue growth target for the 2026-27 fiscal to over Rs 24,000 crore.He said the sales in the first two months have been quite good. Sales of ice cream were very good last month, the MD added.In the last five years, the company's turnover has doubled to surpass the Rs 20,000 crore milestone.Out of the total turnover in the 2025-26 fiscal, the dairy vertical contributed over Rs 15,000 crore, while edible oils and horticulture segments accounted for around Rs 5,000 crore.Around 63 per cent of the company's revenue came from Delhi-NCR and the remaining from the rest of India.The milk and dairy products firm has expanded its distribution footprint to over 95 cities, achieving 100 per cent coverage across metros and tier-II markets.Mother Dairy owns nine milk processing plants and four horticulture processing plants. In the edible oil segment, the company operates through 16 associated plants.
