A public grievances redress meeting was held at the Coimbatore Corporation Main office on Tuesday (June 2, 2026) under the chairmanship of Mayor R. Ranganayaki, alongside Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran.A total of 41 petitions were submitted to the Mayor and Corporation Commissioner seeking basic civic facilities and services, including birth and death certificates, road facilities, streetlights, drinking water supply, underground sewage, professional tax, property tax, vacancy tax, new drinking water connections, name changes, medical and health-related issues, education and other requests.The petitions were received from the East, West, North, South and Central zones. Upon receiving the petitions, the Mayor and the Corporation Commissioner instructed the Zonal Assistant Commissioners concerned, engineers and other officials to take immediate and appropriate action.Deputy Mayor R.
