MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday reminded its personnel to obey traffic laws after the Land Transportation Office (LTO) summoned two police officers for riding a motorcycle without wearing helmets.

“As law enforcers, it is incumbent upon all policemen to be role models in respecting even the simple rules and regulations. Our badge and uniform are symbols of the rule of law, keep it that way,” PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a statement.
