The Conference of the Left has mandated its newly formed council to finalise the implementation plan for the adopted declaration over the weekend.
The newly established Council of the Left is expected to finalise the implementation plan for the eight-point programme adopted during the conference in the next six weeks.
The South African Communist Party (SACP) said the council will also be expected to put the decision of the conference into action.
This comes after the Conference of the Left, hosted by SACP, adopted a resolution over the weekend.
The three-day conference was attended by a broad coalition of leftist and progressive organisations, including the EFF, the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC), the Azanian People's Organisation (AZAPO), and COSATU.
