A Sweden-based platform that transforms scattered government data into accessible policy intelligence launched its Greek version on Friday.
Vera Policy, cofounded by Swedish economist and researcher Gustav Karreskog Rehbinder, uses large language models to collect and organize documents from European and Greek institutions, making complex legislative information searchable within minutes.
A demonstration query on Greece’s gender pay gap returned comparative EU statistics, applicable regulations listed chronologically, active policy initiatives, parliamentary debates and party positions – complete with sources, tables and charts.
“Everything is captured in texts: a bill, a parliamentary debate, a government report,” Rehbinder said. “Most of this material is publicly available, but nobody knows exactly where it is or has time to read it.”
Economist Emma Gavala, who leads the Greek expansion, noted the platform’s value: “Issues like real estate, inheritance, taxation and short-term rentals are incredibly difficult to follow.”
