U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were down 0.1% and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2%. Changes in futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.

In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 climbed 0.6% in morning trading. Prosus rose 10.3% and STMicroelectronics added 9.8%. On the other hand, Avolta dropped 5.1%, and Genmab lost 4%. The FTSE 100 added 0.2%. Other stocks in Europe were up as France's CAC 40 gained 0.7% and Germany's DAX climbed 0.9%.

The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index fell 0.1% to 95.72.

In commodities, Brent crude fell 1.1% to $93.96 a barrel, and WTI crude fell 0.9% to $91.32 a barrel. The European benchmark price for natural gas, the Dutch futures contract TTF, was down 1.9% to 48.15 euros a megawatt hour.

The German 10-year Bund yield fell by 4 basis points to 2.963% from 3.008%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury declined by 1 basis point to 4.44% from 4.453%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
