Sharing the news on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night, she uploaded a picture of herself in a hospital bed.The radio star didn't specify as to whether she was having an operation or not, but she certainly implied that she was about to undergo some a procedure to correct her problems with her vocal cords. "OK voice... time to come back [crossed fingers emoji]," she captioned her post.Carrie candidly addressed the reason she had been absent from her radio show recently, the much-loved host revealed that her vocal cords were "in a very bad way"."I am back! But this is like a ‘one night only’ special, I’m only back for today," she shared on the Australian show. “My voice hasn’t been right for some time. I went to the ENT [doctor] this morning and it’s in a very bad way… as you can hear!"Things are not good, so I’m going to have to take some time off work to get it fixed. If I don’t get it fixed now, they [vocal cords] will be permanently damaged, which will be very unfortunate for my job…”Knowing permanent damage would mean she never returned, she then became tearful on air. "It’s making me upset. I’ll be fine, sorry…" she said, overcome with emotion, adding: "I just don’t like letting people down and I don’t like letting myself down."I also really love my job and don’t want to be forced not to [ever] do it again! I’m taking a little bit of time off to get it fixed. I’m hoping that if I get onto it now, it will be a non-permanent thing.”Her co-host Tommy Little was quick to try and comforted her, tell the presenter: “We just want you healthy and back to 100%, Carrie.”Last year, Carrie shared a heart-wrenching image of herself to remind her followers that “we all have sad days”.Opening up about her struggles in an emotional Instagram, saying accepted she has lots of “crap” days but knows the down times don't last forever.“Scrolling through my camera roll this morning, I found this photo I sent a friend a few months ago when I was having a terrible day, and she had checked up on me,” she wrote alongside a photo of her crying.“I don’t often post on the days I feel crap (and there are a lot of them) because I usually go quiet.
