The Eurovision star has been named as one of the rumoured contestants taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year.08:35, 02 Jun 2026Delta Goodrem has teased an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing after being put on the spot.The Eurovision star came fourth in the 2026 Song Contest, which was won by Bulgaria’s Dara.She’s now preparing for a new album and a new tour, but has said she’s “always open” to Strictly.During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Delta was quizzed by hosts Ed Balls, Susanna Reid and Richard Arnold.After a behind-the-scenes clip of Delta dancing at an afterparty aired, former Strictly star Ed commented on her “good frame”.“What are you suggesting Ed?” Susanna, who has also competed on Strictly, replied, as Richard quipped: “You knew we were going to go here!”Teasing the rumours, Delta said: “Every time I’ve been in the UK and I can immerse into [Strictly], I love music with all my heart.“As I said last year before Eurovision, I’m always open. I love the variety of the arts… I’m always open!”She added: “I’d have to work really hard because I’m a piano girl at the end of the day.”“I’ve not confirmed,” she went on, joking that she’d come to the Good Morning Britain stars for advice before stepping into the ballroom.Reports had earlier stated that Delta was the first name signed up to Strictly this year.The beloved BBC programme is undergoing a major shake-up, with Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe confirmed to have replaced Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.Meanwhile, several new professional dancers are expected to join, after the likes of Karen Hauer, Michelle Tsiakkas and Gorka Marquez left the line-up.Delta was named as the first rumoured contestant joining Strictly earlier this year, when GMB entertainment correspondent Rishi Davda told hosts Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh: "Another day, and another day in the frame for this year's Strictly Come Dancing."Former Neighbours star and pop sensation Delta Goodrem is reportedly set to drop her mic and step onto the dancefloor, proving that she's got more than one string to her bow."Sources say it's basically a done deal, they've been trying to get her for years.
