In a matter of months, the contestants for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing will start being announced.Seven months after Former England footballer Karen Carney and her professional dance partner Carlos Gu lifted the Glitterball trophy, the rumour mill surrounding the BBC’s popular dancing competition has been kicked into overdrive ahead of its 24th series. The professional dancers set to participate in the 2026 series have already been revealed – with five former stars leaving the series outright, and Johannes Radebe now promoted to one of three new hosts, alongside Emma Willis and Josh Widdicombe. But who will they be partnered with? According to reports, the celebrities set to grace the dance floor will include Jeff Brazier, EastEnders star Lacey Turner and Dani Dyer.Jeff Brazier and Dani Dyer are rumoured for 'Strictly' 2026 (Getty Images)Dyer’s name might not be a surprise considering she was forced to pull out of last year’s series after fracturing her ankle in a fall during rehearsals. The 29-year-old Love Island winner, who was paired with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin, said she was “heartbroken” to be unable to compete. She was replaced by musical theatre star Amber Davies.Brazier’s appearance on the show would arrive two years after his son, EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, was a runner-up on the show in 2023. The Sun reports that the TV presenter, who regularly presents guest segments on This Morning, has been approached and is “tempted” to sign up.Meanwhile, Turner, who has played Stacey Slater in EastEnders since 2004, would be the latest in a long line of soap stars to have been on the show. A source told The Sun: "Strictly bosses are delighted to snap Lacey up for the series, especially as she has such a huge fan base from her time on the soap.“She has loved having some quality time off screen to focus on parenting, but feels like now is the perfect time to learn to dance and try something different before she reprises her role in EastEnders." The Independent has contacted Dyer, Brazier and Turner for comment. It’s thought that Willis will fill Daly’s role with Widdicombe channelling his inner Winkleman for the post-dance interviews.Meanwhile, Radebe is speculated to be taking centre stage in a fresh roving reporter role, designed to shake up the format.
