MANILA, Philippines – Following the protests and public outrage over trees cut down in Manila, cultural organization Renacimiento Manila organized a short walking tour explaining the area’s history and the environmental challenges the city faces now.

Rappler’s environment reporter Iya Gozum joined the heritage walk on Sunday, May 31, from Quirino Avenue to Roxas Boulevard to see the stumps of recently felled trees.
