Peter Obi and Nyesom Wike
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has criticised former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, describing his political style as opportunistic and lacking the resilience required for true national leadership.
Wike, who spoke during an interview with Arise TV on Monday, claimed that Obi, who emerged as the Nigeria Democratic Congress’s presidential candidate for the 2027 election after defecting from LP, consistently flees from political struggles, preferring to position himself only where victories are easily handed over.
Wike made the remarks during an interview with Arise TV on Monday while reacting to perceptions about Obi’s leadership style
Wike said, “Peter Obi likes ‘food is ready,’ ‘Mama put.’ I don’t want struggling.
