Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has defended his refusal to publicly disclose detailed plans on how he would address Nigeria’s electricity and security challenges if elected president, insisting that Nigerians should instead judge him by his track record in office.
Obi made the remarks during a recent podcast interview with broadcaster Rufai Oseni, where he was repeatedly pressed to explain how he would achieve some of the ambitious promises he has made for Nigeria.
During the discussion, Oseni challenged Obi over criticisms that his attacks on President Bola Tinubu’s administration often lacked concrete alternatives and detailed policy prescriptions.
Responding to questions about his pledge to raise electricity generation to at least 10,000 megawatts within four years, Obi maintained that he was under no obligation to reveal the specifics of his strategy.
