The Belagavi police have traced a man who was missing for six years, using information provided by NATGRID (National Intelligence Grid), the national integrated intelligence-sharing platform.Abdulgani Ghouse Pendari alias Jamadar, a farmer from Harugeri Hirehalla in Raibag taluk, had gone missing four years ago. A team of officers from Harugeri Police Station found him at Anand Nagar in Gujarat. He had left home on January 19, 2020, without informing anyone.His family had lodged a complaint with the police station on March 18. It was kept pending as no clue was found in the initial search.Recently, the police began re-examining old cases and found a clue using NATGRID. It indicated that Abdulgani was living in Gujarat. Officer S.A. Bevanur went to Gujarat and found him.Superintendent of Police K. Ramarajan and Additional Superintendent of Police R.B. Basaragi have congratulated the team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Prashant Munnolli, Circle Police Inspector Ratankumar Jiragyal, and Sub-Inspector Malappa Poojari.
