YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) staged a protest on Monday outside the Visakhapatnam Collectorate, alleging irregularities in the District Selection Committee (DSC) teacher recruitment process and demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter.The protest rally, organised by the party’s youth wing, began at the Zilla Parishad Junction and culminated at the Collectorate, where a memorandum was submitted to the district administration seeking an inquiry into the recruitment process.Addressing the gathering, State YSRCP Youth Wing president Jakkampudi Raja alleged that the recruitment exercise was marred by irregularities and called for an independent investigation.Hits out at govt.Hitting out at the ruling coalition government, he questioned Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s silence on the issue, alleging that unemployed youth who had spent a considerable amount preparing for the examination had been adversely affected.Mr. Raja further alleged that the previous DSC notification issued during the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government had been cancelled for political reasons.YSRCP Visakhapatnam district president K.K. Raju demanded the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh and urged the government to order a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities.Alleging that jobs had been “sold through corrupt practices”, he warned that the Opposition party would intensify its agitation until a thorough investigation was conducted. The YSRCP maintained that transparency in recruitment was essential to safeguard the interests of job aspirants and restore public confidence in the selection process.
