A 45-year-old man identified as Ifeanyi Ugwu has died after allegedly being tortured by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Enugu State.

He was accused of being in possession of 1kg of cannabis sativa during a market raid.
Instead of being charged in court as required by law, Ugwu was reportedly severely beaten while in NDLEA custody, allegedly leading to his death.
