According to the alliance, the emergence of Muslim candidates for the governorship position and all three senatorial tickets has heightened concerns among Christian stakeholders who believe religious balance and inclusiveness have been abandoned within the party.

A political pressure group, Integrity Youth Alliance, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State of systematically sidelining Christian politicians in the party's ongoing political arrangements, warning that the development could undermine President Bola Tinubu's electoral prospects in the state.

The group, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Danjuma Lamido, made available to SaharaReporters on Monday, expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of recent APC primary elections in the state, alleging that the process overwhelmingly favoured Muslim aspirants while excluding qualified Christian contenders.

According to the alliance, the emergence of Muslim candidates for the governorship position and all three senatorial tickets has heightened concerns among Christian stakeholders who believe religious balance and inclusiveness have been abandoned within the party.

"Nasarawa State is widely recognised as a state with a significant Christian population and strong Christian political participation. It is therefore disturbing that the recent APC primaries in the state have allegedly been structured in a manner that overwhelmingly favours Muslim aspirants at the expense of qualified Christian politicians," the group said.
