A coalition of Christian groups in Niger State, the Niger State Christian Voice in Politics and Governance, has accused the state All Progressives Congress of excluding Christians from participating in the ongoing party primaries.

The coalition further alleged that the APC has pressured Christian apsirants to step down from contesting in the ongoing party primaries in Niger State.

According to the coalition during a press conference, it insisted that political play out I Niger State where has ensured that there are no principal officers of Christian extraction in the state.

Thus, they accused the leadership of the party of using a deliberate and systmatic means to ensure that Christians in the state are denied participation in the ongoing party primaries such that they would not emerge as candidates in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

The coordinator of the Niger State Christian Voice in Politics and Governance Habila Diko who spoke at the conference held in Minna, he called on the state governor Mohammed Bago to reverse the trend which he termed the systemic scheming and exclusion of Christians in the party primaries.
