The rare blue moon illuminated the night sky in May, but when will the next full moon be?Well, in case you missed the rare sighting, there will be another chance to view a full moon in June. The one is known as the Strawberry Moon. The moon gets its name from the Native American Algonquian tribes in the northeastern U.S., as well as the Ojibwe, Dakota and Lakota peoples, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. This is because June is when strawberries ripen and are ready to be picked. If you're hoping to see another blue moon, however, you will have to wait for a couple of years.
