Imagine a student preparing for JEE, NEET or IAS, or a board exam being able to identify and simplify the problems within seconds, use memorisation tricks to learn formulae, analyse which sections/chapters resulted in loss of marks, and track the time taken to solve each question in a mock test. Students are now relying on this evolving method of preparation and are increasingly influenced by technologies that incorporate AI into their preparation, revision, and performance analysis.AI is gradually embedding itself into the process of preparing for exams through the various means of practising, revising and assessing preparation by using various forms of inquiry methodology. Students increasingly turn to chatbots or AI assistants when they struggle with a question late at night or want a quick breakdown of a complex concept. But the bigger transformation is happening in performance analysis and personalised preparation.As this unfolds, some experts say what education needs to cultivate is not faster recall, but the ability to think, to question, connect, and apply. That shift is long overdue, and no technology will do it automatically.
