This is very stressful time for grade 12 learners.
As June exam season begins across South Africa, thousands of parents are watching their children head into what is often one of the most stressful periods of the school year.
For Grade 12 learners especially, these exams are about far more than simply getting through another test series. They are a major checkpoint in a year that can shape university applications, bursary opportunities and future career plans.
While many families focus heavily on the final National Senior Certificate exams later in the year, education leaders warn that the June exams should never be treated as a trial run.
According to Dr Alucia Mabunda, Campus Head at IIE Rosebank College, the June examinations play a critical role in determining how the rest of the matric year unfolds.
