On the 93rd day of the United States and Israel’s war against Iran, reports indicate that negotiations remain active but significant disagreements persist, particularly over the nuclear issue and the Strait of Hormuz.

According to reports cited from The New York Times, US President Donald Trump submitted a revised proposal to Tehran containing stricter provisions than earlier drafts.

The reported amendments are said to focus on sensitive issues including Iran’s nuclear programme and the future handling of enriched nuclear material.

Meanwhile, Axios reported that Trump is seeking stronger guarantees and tighter restrictions in any final agreement.

Despite the tougher negotiating position, Trump stated publicly that Washington may be close to reaching what he called a “very good” agreement with Iran. At the same time, he warned that military action remains an option if the final deal is not considered fair by the United States.
