The Bellare police booked three persons for alleged illegal slaughter of cattle.In a press note, the police said a team led by police sub-inspector B.P. Santosh raided a place in Savanuru village, on May 29, where cattle were being slaughtered, after receiving credible information. The police stated that there was no authorisation for the slaughter of cattle.The police seized beef and articles used to slaughter cattle. The police booked K. Abdul Rafeeq, Adrama Manturu and Abdul Khader Manimajalu, for offences under Sections 4,7 and 12 of Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act.
