The Punjalkatte police have sealed the house and adjoining shed of one Bhoja Moolya in Sarapady of Bantwal Taluk of Dakshina Kannada for allegedly allowing illegal slaughter of cattle on the premises.
The police booked one Shridhar Poojary on December 13 for alleged illegal transport of cattle. The police also booked Bhoja Moolya for allowing illegal slaughter of cattle in the cow shed adjoining his house. The two were booked for offences punishable under Sections 5,7,12 of Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act and Section 11 (1) D of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
In continuation of legal process, Bhoja Poojary’s house and adjoining cow shed were sealed by the police, the police said in a press release.
