Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted consignments of high-potency illicit drugs concealed inside water purifier machines shipped from the Netherlands to Lagos.
The illicit drug consignments, which included three kilograms of ketamine and 199 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy) pills, were discovered and seized at a courier company in Lagos on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
This is contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.
Babafemi disclosed that in Kaduna State, anti-narcotics operatives arrested a couple, Musa Sunday and Mercy Sunday, alongside another suspect, Salomi Ezekiel, 38.
