The seizures meant for export were made on Friday, 15 May 2026, at a courier company in Lagos during routine inspection of outbound parcels.
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted cocaine and multiple opioid consignments concealed in carton walls and destined for the United Kingdom and Australia, as the agency intensified nationwide anti-drug operations that also led to the destruction of 65,000 kilograms of skunk in Delta State and the recovery of military-grade ammunition hidden in garri in Kaduna State.
The seizures meant for export were made on Friday, 15 May 2026, at a courier company in Lagos during routine inspection of outbound parcels.
According to the agency, 170 grams of cocaine were discovered hidden in the lining of a carton of clothing heading to Australia, according to Femi Babafemi Director, Media and Advocacy NDLEA in a statement on Sunday.
In a separate shipment, NDLEA operatives also uncovered a mix of opioids concealed within another carton bound for the United Kingdom.
