TACLOBAN CITY — A woman was hacked to death by her alleged former lover in Sitio Capion, Barangay San Sebastian, Matag-ob, Leyte, on Saturday afternoon, May 30, with authorities citing jealousy as the possible motive behind the killing.
Police identified the victim only as “Seling,” a widow and household helper while the suspect was identified as “Enit,” a farmer from nearby Sitio Cagubot in the same village.
According investigators, the victim and the suspect were reportedly lovers prior to the incident.
Authorities said jealousy is being considered the primary motive for the crime.
