BACOLOD CITY — A 41-year-old woman was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants shortly after leaving the Negros Occidental District Jail (NODJ) in Barangay Tabunan, Bago City, on Saturday afternoon, June 6.
Police identified the victim only as Lowela, a resident of Barangay 2 in Manapla, Negros Occidental.
According to investigators, the victim had just left the jail facility with two companions and boarded a rented tricycle driven by a resident of Manapla when an unidentified gunman opened fire at 4:08 p.m.
