MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Domeng (international name: Jangmi) maintained its strength while moving east of Batanes on Sunday morning, the state weather bureau said.

In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Domeng was last located some 645 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes and was moving north-northwest at 15 kilometers per hour (kph).

It is packing a maximum wind speed of 120 kph and gustiness of up to 150 kph, Pagasa said, adding that Domeng will continue moving north-northwest before recurving towards southern Japan. FEATURED STORIES
