A man was arrested for allegedly tearing his ballot at an early voting station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, following an altercation with election workers, police said Sunday.
The Bucheon Ojeong Police Station said the man was booked without detention on suspicion of violating the Public Official Election Act after the incident occurred at around 4:13 p.m. Saturday at an early voting station at the Ojeong District Office.

The man had finished marking his ballots and was walking toward the ballot box when he realized he had not marked the superintendent of education ballot. He then attempted to return to the voting booth.
