ILOILO CITY — Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas-Chu has become the subject of a recent complaint lodged with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), alleging that she may have violated the department’s ‘anti-epal’ policy with her signature livelihood program for mothers.

In a letter dated and sent to the DILG on Thursday, May 28, lawyer Josiah David Quising requested an investigation into the livelihood initiative “TLC ni Inday,” which he said was being promoted by the Iloilo City Government and identified with Treñas-Chu.

Quising cited DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-006, which prohibits the display or affixture of the names, images, logos, slogans or symbols of public officials on government-funded projects and related materials.
