MANILA, Philippines — The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) on Friday filed criminal and administrative complaints before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against Vice Mayor Jeryll Harold Respicio, of Reina Mercedes town in Isabela, over his alleged “seditious statements” posted on social media.

CICC executive director Undersecretary Aboy Paraiso, along with Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Precious Hipolito-Castelo, led the submission of the agency’s complaint affidavit before the NBI.

In a press conference at the NBI headquarters, Paraiso said the complaints being considered against Respicio include inciting sedition, inciting rebellion, and unlawful means of publication.
