BAGUIO CITY — A 46-year-old truck driver from Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya died after he was run over by his own vehicle while transporting heavy equipment in Barangay Happy Hallow here on Friday, May 29.
Police said the victim and his co-workers had just loaded a backhoe onto an Isuzu self-loading truck at Purok 1 when the vehicle suddenly slid backward.
The driver tried to stop the truck by stepping on the brakes, but these reportedly failed to engage, according to the police report.
