The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 9 Headquarters, Umuahia, AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu, is dead.
Abia State Governor Alex Otti announced the sad development on Saturday in Umuahia, revealing that the senior police officer died after a battle with cancer.
Governor Otti expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the late AIG, describing him as a diligent, hardworking and committed officer who served the nation with dedication and professionalism.
