A 20-year-old man was arrested by the Medchal police in connection with a case involving allegations of sexual assault, criminal intimidation and electronic transmission of obscene material.The accused was identified as Sadhanala Santosh Kumar, a resident of Toopran in Medak district. He has been remanded to judicial custody.According to the police, a Zero FIR was initially registered at Jawaharnagar police station on May 28 and was subsequently transferred to Medchal police station on May 29, where a formal FIR was registered and the investigation taken up.The victim’s statement was recorded. Police said the victim has undergone a medical examination and the collected samples have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Hyderabad for analysis.As part of the investigation, officers seized a mobile phone and two tablets linked to the case.Further investigation is underway.
