HA 21-year-old man from Mahbubnagar district was arrested by Balanagar police for sexually assaulting and impregnating a 16-year-old girl he befriended on Instagram.The accused, identified as Hari Krishna, completed his Bachelor of Arts degree, and was engaged in agricultural work in his village. Police said the two became acquainted on the platform about six months ago. On May 13, he met the girl near a secluded spot in IDPL Township, where he allegedly assaulted her twice.The matter came to light after the girl complained of stomach pain, and a hospital examination confirmed she was pregnant.A case was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and further investigation is under way.
