Police are making an urgent appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal two-vehicle crash on SH1 in Allanton on Friday evening.
The crash, which occurred at the intersection of SH1 and Law Road, about 20 kilometres southwest of Dunedin, was reported just before 5.40pm and resulted in the death of one person at the scene.
Investigating officers are now working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the collision and want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.
Senior Sergeant Nathan White, of the Southern District Police, urged motorists who may have captured the incident on camera to come forward.
