One person has died following a two vehicle crash on SH1 in Allanton, south of Dunedin.
The two vehicle crash was at the intersection of Law Rd, and was reported to police just before 5.40pm.
Police said one person died at the scene, and two others sustained minor injuries.
The road remains closed at the intersection with Law Rd, and diversions are in place.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area,” said a police spokesperson.
