MANILA, Philippines – A fellow Mindanaoan lawmaker has challenged fugitive Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa to be courageous enough to attend the expected Senate impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
House trial spox Zia Alonto Adiong said Dela Rosa should show the same determination and readiness to face all risks to attend the VP Duterte’s trial like what he did in attending the recent voting on the Senate leadership change.

“Let us remember, physical presence is important in legislation. The rules to require physical presence of legislators were actually [intended] to inculcate among members the deep commitment to good work,” he said.
