QVC Group is pulling out a plethora of party tricks for its 40th anniversary, including its “biggest party ever,” a docuseries and an eight-hour TikTok event with 120 content creators. “QVC Group invented live shopping 40 years ago. Everyone else is still catching up,” QVC’s SVP of social commerce Krystyna Taheri said. “[In June], we're reminding them why and showing up everywhere – on-air, streaming, digital and social.”The live e-commerce retailer will begin celebrating its May 28 anniversary on June 13 with a Biggest Party Ever event, hosted by makeup artist Mally Roncal alongside QVC personalities Chaz Dean and Kim Gravel. The ticketed event in Michigan’s Studio Park will also include a live audience taping of In the Kitchen with David, according to a brand statement. “It’s more than a birthday party, it’s a reminder of who we have been and how we are relevant today and tomorrow,” Taheri explained, noting that QVC’s activation for TikTok Shop Super Brand Day is “the one to watch.”Since joining TikTok Shop in 2024, QVC has garnered nearly 1 million shoppers and was named TikTok Shop’s seller of the year on May 22. The retailer sells over 95,000 products on TikTok Shop, and produces over 220 live hours per week across its five TikTok Live channels, Taheri said. “Leveraging our collaboration with TikTok was a natural fit for this moment because it allows us to celebrate QVC’s legacy while looking toward the brand’s future by reaching new audiences,” Taheri explained.QVC works with an average of 225,000 content creators on TikTok Shop a month, Taheri said, adding that the creator affiliates bring “authenticity, creativity and community to the shopping experience that all generations are craving.”“The heart of QVC has always been the human connection that our hosts have been able to make with consumers on air,” Taheri explained. “Affiliates are just a modern-day extension of that tradition, and more than just a vendor; they are business partners.”To celebrate its partnership with TikTok, QVC is hosting an eight-hour livestream at TikTok’s Super Shoop Brand Day event in New York City with QVC hosts, 120 content creators and limited-time deals to “spotlight the future of social-first commerce through livestreaming shopping moments,” according to a brand statement.Running from June 17 through July 7, the QVC deals will span beauty, home, fashion and electronics; and will be available on TikTok Shop, QVC.com, on-air and across QVC platforms.Dentsu is leading the onsite experiential event, while Zeno Group partnered with QVC’s internal PR team to drive the earned media strategy, Taheri said. In addition to live events and sales, QVC also announced a new podcast and video content series on its 40th anniversary, including a Cart Blanche podcast hosted by QVC personality John Battagliese, which will premiere on June 16. A four-part docuseries, A QVC Story, streamed its first episode, “The Early Years” on May 28 alongside a My QVC Story companion series starring fan-favorite QVC hosts to share behind-the-scenes anecdotes from their time on-air. QVC Group launched in 1986, and reported a 7.7% year-over-year revenue decrease to $1.9 billion for Q1 2026. “Over the past 40 years, QVC has become a cultural force,” Taheri explained. “Whether it’s the Kansas City Chiefs’ QVC-inspired NFL schedule release or even most recently as Summer House star, Ciara Miller, shared her dream of being on the network, we’ve captured the hearts and shopping carts of fans across generations.”This story first appeared on PRWeek U.S.
