Japan has contributed $14,658,000 (approximately JPY 2.2 billion) for the implementation of NATO's Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative.
According to Ukrinform, the press service of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated this on its website.
It is noted that this contribution is intended for a PURL package covering exclusively non-lethal equipment. Details regarding the non-lethal equipment to be provided will be coordinated with NATO.
The non-lethal equipment is expected to correspond to the support provided through NATO's CAP Trust Fund (Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine), to which Japan has contributed previously.
