The Nagapattinam Yacht Club will conduct an awareness and introductory programme on sailing training for schoolchildren studying in Classes VI to IX, Collector P. Akash said.The programme will explain the basics of sailing, how the sport is practised, and the benefits of participation, including improvement in self-confidence, and enhancement of physical and mental abilities.Interested students and their parents have been asked to attend the event to be held at the Collectorate meeting hall in Nagapattinam at 2 p.m. on Monday (June 1).Participants have been asked to bring a copy of their Aadhaar card and passport-size photographs.
