Zappion, in central Athens, has been hosting this week an innovation festival, “Panathenea” which has attracted over 3,000 startups and – so far through Thursday – more than 11,000 visitors, far surpassing last year’s total of 3,500.
Participating companies in this international event hail from 60 countries, while the investors attending manage funds that exceed $400 billion.
Surrounding the festival, Greece signed a memorandum of understanding with ElevenLabs, one of the world’s leading AI voice chatbot companies, for the gov.gr platform.
The festival concludes on Friday with a party at 7 p.m.
