Littler revealed in his post-match interview that he told his partner, Faith Millar, that he wanted to quit the sport entirely."It was a rollercoaster first four weeks, bottom of the table, but then the fifth night I won my first night," he said. "I had to pick myself up, some tough times."I think I had a 79 average in Brighton or something like that and it was tough. But I am here with the trophy."Littler then broke down in tears as he turned away from the camera before Humpries embraced his rival. He then returned to his interview after Humphries spoke and said: "After Brighton and the incident in Manchester, I was sat at home saying to Faith: 'I don't want to do it anymore, just the crowd every week'."I said to her 'I'm down bad'."Humphries had given his take on why Littler was so emotional after scooping the £350,000 prize on offer to the winner of the 2026 edition of the Premier League Darts competition."It is emotional, you have seen it from Luke there.," he said.
